Persis Monroe is a shared vision between the owners to showcase the beautiful traditions and rich history India has to offer through the food we serve our patrons. It is not about being a restaurant in Monroe, but rather about having deeper roots embedded in our home country and casting a bigger shadow of Indian food and culture in America. What makes food so satisfying and comforting is the memories we associate with it and memories are what we want to make. It is not just about serving food, but rather building long lasting relationships with our patrons. We want them to know and experience the personal service we aim to provide for them whether it be their wedding, anniversary or just a relaxing dine-in meal.
Since opening in 2017, we have constantly been growing and adapting our ways of presenting the food. In our menu you will find that we try to cover a wide range of dishes that originate from all parts of India. Our Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian dishes present distinct flavors that our diners have come to love and appreciate. Our chefs come from various backgrounds with a combined, in-depth knowledge of North Indian, South Indian, Indo-Chinese and continental dishes. Additionally, our chefs keep their creative engines running through special request catering menus we design based on each individual event.
Furthermore, besides our dine-in and catering services, we have banquet services for private events and parties. Situated on 146 Applegarth Rd. in Monroe, NJ, we are a stand-alone building with ample parking spots available and a banquet capacity of 200 people. Our restaurant has been renovated to have a beautiful, ambient look that leaves everyone amazed.
We aim to be a warm, welcoming place for everyone to come and enjoy what we have to offer. So, don’t wait to come down and give our food a shot!

This is one of the best Indian cuisines around hand down. It's super authentic and the food was flavorful and most importantly, not heavy on your stomach. The flavors are robust and truly transport your palate to India. I highly recornmend this place for anyone looking for amazing authentic Indian food.
Awesome place! Stumbled across this place While we dropped off a bunch of teens at Six Flags. It's the best Indian food I've had in New Jersey. Raju was very attentive and the owner was pleasant. I'd eat here very often if it were closer to me, but I've already raved about it to friends in the area. The portions are huge and I was full after an appetizer, Naan, and an entree. I forced myself to have a sizzling brownie, though. It looked so good, I couldn't resist! I can't wait to try more from the (large) menu. It was difficult to pick just one entree.
The price was amazing. The food was even better. Absolutely a do again. The venue is beautiful as well.
